As a native Japanese translator with about 12 years of experience in the medical and healthcare sectors, I specialize in Japanese-to-English translation for clinical trials and medical records.
My journey in the medical field began at a cancer hospital after graduating from Sophia University with a degree in English Literature. During my time at the hospital, I served as an International Patient Services Coordinator and supported international patients and their families.
I later transitioned to a Clinical Research Organization (CRO), where I worked as a Site Start-Up and Regulatory Specialist. I managed clinical trial startup procedures, including regulatory submissions, creation of informed consent forms in compliance with Japanese regulations, site contracts, and review of essential documents required for site initiation.
Since becoming a full-time freelance translator in 2019, I have leveraged my native linguistic intuition and my real-world experience at the cancer hospital and CRO to provide accurate, reliable, and context-aware linguistic services.
